Mia is a young Warlpiri lady from Yuendumu in the Tanami who joined the Yapa Crew in 2024.
The food is amazing here at the Granites and also the accommodation is pretty good.
When I first came to the Granites mine I didn’t know anything but the Yapa Crew who I am working with have really looked after me.
Jobs – we do a lot of good things like brush cutting and going out to different locations. It is a great experience to see and work on these lands. It is also a good path for those that are interested.
Meetings – we have meetings every morning to make sure we are safe and we do safe checks in every location.
